One of Lawrence's former coworkers, named Joe (if I'm not mistaken). In addition to his day job as a programmer, he is also a Wikipedia editor in physics, science, technology, and perhaps a number of other areas. He said he is also trying to talk to Chinese government about unblocking Wikipedia. An ambitious undertaking, to say the least. How does one get in touch with Chinese government, anyway? Joe said he has some Wikipedia connections that reach that far. He knows Wikipedia editors who know other editors, etc... all the way to the proper people in the Chinese government, apparently. Interesting... I didn't have a chance to talk to him more, because he immediately struck up a very technical conversation about Chinese securities law with someone else just as well-versed in legalese. My eyes promptly glazed over.
