P1100130 Panel on self-promotion for writers
Kenneth Hoover, Gabrielle Faust, Rhonda Eudaly, and Lou Antonelli on panel on self-promotion advice for writers. Some simple advice they offered: let people know (e.g. on social media, like Twitter on Facebook) when you finish a new work. Agents and editors like to work with authors who produce a lot. Self-promotion will require you to write more, too, so you would always have new stories or novels to hand out to agents and editors who might want to see your work.
Gabrielle Faust adds that you should learn graphical design. Take courses at community college if needed. Graphical design is indispensable when marketing your work.
