E in a Tardis booth at SXSW Create. I'm not sure what kinds of cool things this Tardis booth was supposed to let you do -- at SXSW Create all exhibits had some kind of interactive, DIY component. But we didn't have time to explore all the exhibits in this incredibly rich expo.
SXSW Create was an open-to-the-public event at SXSW 2014 that took place in a huge tent outside of Long Center, and had all sorts of maker and DIY-type displays and activities, such as 3D printers and even (I think) a build-your-own drone booth.
E and I spent most of the time at a free e-textiles workshop was organized by Sparkfun. The instructors gave everyone one-on-one instructions on how to make their own electronic accessory. There were several kinds of accessories one could make. E picked a hair bow, and I picked a spaceship -- I thought R would be amused by it, as spaceships are among his favorite things right now. But the lights on my spaceship lit up only briefly when I flipped the switch, and didn't stay. However, E's hairbow LED worked fine. You can see it in the previous pictures in this album.
