P1090453 Charles de Gaule day ceremony
Some kind of ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe on Charles de Gaule day. Arc de Triomphe was closed to tourists, and surrounded by police (though the traffic circle around the Arc de Triomphe was open to traffic -- what kind of security is that? :-)) ; a bunch of VIPs arrived (there were rumors in the crowd that Sarkozy was among them), soldiers saluted. In about an hour it all dispersed.
