P1100020 Mama bird and baby birds

in the nest in my balcony in July of 2010. My rudimentary knowledge of birds suggests these are swallows. Out of the three youngsters, only one is visible in the picture -- that's the wide-open orange beak hanging out of the nest. The mama bird gets points for bringing that huge piece of nylon rope to reinforce the nest.
