So what's the Deal About Drupal? -- Geek Austin event on 5/20/2009 combined networking, drinks and a Drupal presentation. David Strauss from Austin-based company Four Kitchens gave a presentation "From zero to CiviCRM", which showed how to quickly install Drupal-enhanced CiviCRM, an open-source community management platform, and demonstrated basic things you can do with it. The event took place at the Union Park (which is actually not a park, but a bar) in Austin. It has a nice back room that can be used for presentations, even though erotic posters on the walls may prove a tiny bit distracting for a geeky mindframe. :-)
